The Wimberley Players are excited about the 2022 Summer Internship Program. The opportunity to provide a paid and professional level theatre experience for students currently enrolled or newly graduated from a college or university theatre program is important to our core mission and values. Students learn while doing and add to their resumes for future employment prospects thanks to our donors, members, and sponsors whose support makes this program possible. We are pleased to present the 2022 summer roster of interns.
Brennon Cope, Production Intern
Brennon is a 2022 graduate from Texas State. He earned a BFA in Theatre with an emphasis in Technical Production and a concentration in Sound Design. You have heard his work as Sound Designer for It Had to be You, and The Cover of Life, and as Composer for War of the Worlds: The Panic Broadcast.
Dylan Brynes, Production Intern
Dylan is a Junior at Texas State majoring in Theatre with an emphasis in Technical Production and a concentration in Sound Design. His previous Wimberley Players credits include Sound Designer for War of the Worlds: The Panic Broadcast and Nunsense, and Sound board Operator for Sleuth.
Sarah Long, Production Intern
Sarah Is a Junior at Texas State majoring in Theatre with and emphasis in Technical Production and a concentration in Lighting Design. She as has worked on five shows at The Wimberley Players, most recently as Assistant Lighting Designer and Light Board Operator for Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol. Other WP credits include Light Board Operator for It Had to be You, Nunsense, and The Cover of Life. She also serves as Secretary of the student chapter of United States Institute of Theatre Technology at Texas State.
Matthew Linder, Assistant Stage Management Intern
Matthew recently transferred from Austin Community College with an Associate degree in Drama to the BFA program at Texas State University. While at ACC he also studied in the Film department. His past work at WP includes acting (Dracula: The Radio Play and War of the Worlds: The Panic Broadcast), and Audio Production and Sound Board Operator for Clue: On Stage. He is currently serving as the Assistant Stage Manager of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change.
Hannah Corbett, Administrative and Marketing Intern
Hannah is a 2022 graduate from Texas State. She earned a BFA in Theatre with an emphasis in Technical Production and a concentration in Lighting Design. She has worked on 15 productions with The Wimberley Players in various capacities including as Stage Manager Picnic, Moon Over Buffalo, It’s A Wonderful Life, and Nunsense, and as Assistant Stage Manager for Next to Normal. She has also been a part of the set building and lighting crews, as well as a teaching assistant for First Stage Theatre Camp. You will next see her work as Lighting Designer for the upcoming production of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change. At the end of the Summer she will be moving to Storrs, CT where she will be an MFA candidate in Lighting Design at University of Connecticut.
