Call for Volunteers

PRODUCTION CREWS

SCENIC CREW: Do you have carpentry skills and love working with power tools? This role puts you, literally, center stage!

LIGHTING CREW: If you have experience with stage lighting or want to learn how to make theatre magic with lights (and don't mind climbing ladders), the lighting crew is for you.

PAINTING CREW: Once the set is built, the painting crew takes over. From the first timer to the trained artist, there is a place for you on this creative crew.

RUNNING CREWS: Are you technologically inclined? This vital role includes working backstage, operating the light or sound boards, or the livestream cameras. Stipends are included for running crew members.

WARDROBE CREW: Do you know your way around a sewing machine? This essential role includes making costumes, clothing repairs, pre-show ironing, and assisting actors with quick backstage changes.

Work hours vary by crew with both weekday and weekend opportunities. For more information about joining one of the production crews, please contact our Technical Director, Todd Martin, by email or call 512-847-0575.

ARTISTIC TEAMS

DESIGNERS: Do you have experience designing scenery, lighting, or costumes? Send us your resume and/or link to your website or portfolio to be considered for the 2023 Season. Stipends are included for designers.

PROPERTIES: Every item on stage from furniture, to decorative items, to things carried by the actors must be found, borrowed, purchased, or made. If you like to shop, work with your hands, assemble, or create something from nothing, join us.

PRODUCTION PRODUCER: Do you have great organizational and communication skills? Do you love solving puzzles? If yes, then Production Producer is the volunteer position for you. It involves a flexible time commitment with remote options.

For more information about joining one of the Artistic Teams, please contact our Managing Artistic Director, Trish Rigdon, by email or call 512-847-0575.

OTHER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: From box office staff and ushers, to the concessions team, and to those helping us maintain our facilities, there is a place in The Wimberley Players family for everyone: Click here to submit a volunteer form and let us know about your skill sets and interests. We will get back to you promptly with our current opportunities.
